Skimmer, overflow or infinity?
The choice affects appearance, water level, circulation, plant room and costs. We show you the differences and constraints before you decide.
Skimmer
A clean, reliable solution with the water level below the coping. Suitable for many private pools and straightforward operation.
Overflow
Water overflows on all four sides and is collected in a channel with perimeter grilles: a water level flush with the terrace, even circulation and visual continuity.
Infinity
The overflow disappears towards the landscape. It requires precise design of gradients, the balance tank and the structure.

Custom filtration and disinfection
We size filtration, circulation and automation according to pool volume, use and load. Water quality depends on the balance between equipment, chemical values and maintenance.

Important: a saltwater pool is not “chlorine-free”. Electrolysis produces disinfectant continuously and in a controlled way; it can be combined with automatic pH adjustment and remote control.
Salt-based disinfection
Three systems, three approaches to water treatment
Dryden DA-GEN, Topclean and Elite use salt with different technologies. The right choice depends on your pool, the existing equipment and the level of automation you want.
Dryden DA-GEN
A hydrolysis system that combines advanced oxidation with a small amount of chlorine production to maintain residual disinfection in the pool. According to Dryden Aqua, it operates with around 1 g/l of salt or magnesium chloride.
The complete configuration includes pH measurement and automatic dosing, chlorine or ORP control, and filtration management. It can be combined with the Dryden DAISY system for coordinated water treatment.
Information about DA-GENTopclean
Produces disinfectant from a salt solution held in a separate tank, using a membrane electrolysis cell. The disinfectant is dosed into the pool: there is no need to add salt to the pool water.
A solution for producing disinfectant on site while keeping the pool water unsalted. Dosing can be combined with an automatic measurement and control system.
Information about TopcleanElite
AstralPool’s salt electrolysis system generates chlorine directly from the salt dissolved in the pool water. Production can beadjusted to the needs of the pool.
The Elite range offers solutions for controlling pH and disinfection. Elite Connect versions can include automation and remote control functions, depending on the model and the modules selected.
Information about EliteSalt-based disinfection does not mean chlorine-free water. DA-GEN and Elite use salt in the pool; Topclean uses a separate brine solution. Sizing and configuration depend on the pool’s volume, temperature and use.
Disinfection with liquid chlorine
BAYROL PoolManager
For water treatment with liquid chlorine, PoolManager automates disinfectant dosing and pH control. The system measures pH, ORP and temperature, and regulates product dosing according to the selected setpoints.

What pool planners want to know
How much does it cost to build a pool in Ticino?
The cost depends on dimensions, ground, access, construction system, coping, lining, equipment and cover. After a site visit, we prepare a transparent proposal with the relevant alternatives.
Which is better: skimmer, overflow or infinity?
Skimmer systems are practical and suitable for many private pools. Overflow brings water to the edge and improves visual continuity and circulation. Infinity enhances a view but requires precise structural and hydraulic conditions.
Are permits or notification required?
Procedures depend on the municipality, zone, dimensions and project characteristics. We check with the professionals involved which documentation is needed before work starts.
How long does construction take?
Design, approval and construction times vary with complexity and season. Early planning reduces delays and simplifies coordination.
When is renovation preferable to replacement?
If the structure and parts of the equipment can be retained, targeted renovation can renew waterproofing, finishes and technology. A site visit distinguishes local defects from structural problems.
Is a saltwater pool chlorine-free?
No. Electrolysis converts dissolved salt into chlorine-based disinfectant. The benefit is automatic, regular production that can be combined with water-value monitoring.
